The short answer is NO. I believe that electronic drums and samples are useful in a supplementary role, but the core of the drum track should be created using acoustic drums. All tracks I provide are recorded on acoustic drums.

2 mono kick tracks (kick in and out mics), 2 mono snare tracks (top and bottom mics), a mono hi-hat track, a mono track for each tom used (this depends on the song, but it could be up to 3), a stereo track for overheads, and a stereo track for room mics.

I will do up to 3 revisions. After three takes, If there is a problem with a track sonically but the parts have been approved, I will be happy to correct the problem and do another pass.

I prefer to hear the melody so I can write a part that compliments but doesn't interfere. I also need to know the song form. Most of my clients send a rough demo that includes the melody (either sung or played) along with a guitar or piano track. If you have pre-programmed drums, great!
